Airtel ties up with VeriSign

India’s leading private telecom operator Bharti Airtel has tied up with Verisign, global provider of intelligent infrastructure services. Airtel signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with VeriSign on 3rd Jan 2008.

This deal makes Airtel a strategic marketing partner of VeriSign and will bring its services in India. Chris Parsons, senior vice president, corporate strategy, VeriSign said, “VeriSign expects significant growth in the Indian market over the next several years. Our strategy was to find a partner that shared our vision for next-generation network services and had the capability to execute, and Bharti Airtel was our clear choice”.
